My name is Hunter Block. I was born in Maryville, TN on November 8, 1992 and have played shortstop ever since I was old enough to hold a bat. I played college ball at Middle Tennessee State University and a year of pro ball with the Hickory (NC) Crawdads. I moved to Southern California in 2017 and started keeping a blog in 2018. Almost 250 posts later I’m finally getting to an ‘About’ page. (And almost 100 posts after that, I’m finally updating it.)
The blog’s about me, my family, my friends and what I reckon you can call my adventures, both past and present. My favorite food is ice cream and I drive what my best buddy Keaton calls a shitbox.
I live in the pool house on Maya Bedrossian’s (yes, the Maya Bedrossian from the movies) property in San Marino, and have a recurring part on her reality show, At Home with Maya. I am the pool boy, yes, but I also take care of Maya and her husband Robert’s two sons, Jacob and Matteo…and our new dog, a beagle shepherd Maya named Gechitzik. I was originally hired to improve the boys’ baseball skills, and it kind of developed into this really cool gig.
Y’all can find a whole lot more about me just by reading the blog, so just dive in and maybe you’ll find it as fun to read as it’s been for me to write. I hope so. And, if y’all have any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to reach out and contact me.
But really…
